鹧 鸪 天     竟生

和小土豆

耳目生来喜色鲜。舜尧盗跖性相连。陶人埏埴(1)而为器，巨黍(2)排擏方中圆。
严擅独，失民监(3)。瞒天过海便神仙。通融(4)上下归民道，绅士(5)英伦百虑煎(6)。

1，埏埴：（shān zhì）荀子《性恶》故陶人埏埴（调和黏土）而为器，然则器生于陶人为伪（人为），非故生于人之性也。
2，巨黍：荀子《性恶》繁弱、巨黍，古之良弓也，然而不得排擏（qìng矫正弓弩的器具），则不能自正。
3，失民监：《中鉴•杂言上第四》下不钳口，上不塞耳，则可又闻矣。
4，通融：To the extent that the people can be relied upon to behave in a loyal and responsible manner the government dose not require amies of police and civil servants to keep them in order。 But if a natin is disunited， the government cannot be sure that the actions of the people will be in the interests of the nation， and it wiil have to watch，,check， and control the people accordingly。（如果能达到信赖人民以忠诚和负责的态度行动的话，政府就无需用大量警察和文职人员去迫使他们循规蹈矩。）
