哀哀春逝早 叶落自寻根 勐海飘零雨 故园半掩门

枝栖精卫鸟 石驻自由魂 千古谁无死 来生报抚恩

 



二嘎 (哈尼族)

Sadly my spring too early did pass,

Leaves returning to roots for a lasting rest

All over Meng-hai, a dizzle is falling,

the door of my former home half-closed.

Like the spirit-bird Jing-wei, I perch on the branch,

And in this rock, my free spririt dwells.

Who in history can escape the fate of death?

Oh mother of mine, your kindness, in my next life I will repay.
